You can buy some switches with a string and replace it yourself if you are "useful" things like that. Turn switch on the device, so you do not accidentally make, and take the light on the side of the fan. Remove the switch is defective, and take it with you at Lowe's or Home Depot, etc., and they can get a new one. Then replace. Good luck.
